Moms LitClubs

Moms LitClubs bring together mothers from the community to share the joy of family, friendship, and sharing stories. Moms LItClubs will teach participants how to raise their own children to be lifelong readers. Moms LitClub members form a community of mothers working together to improve the their own lives and the lives of their children through the joy of stories. Moms LitClub members will spend time learning to read and write with the goal of passing on these skills and a love of learning to their children.  Participants learn tools to help their children succeed in school, as well as skills they can use to change their world.

Accomplished so far:
• Mothers Institutes held in Nairobi, Kenya and Kisumu, Kenya July 2011
• New York area launch planned for September 2011
