LitWorld is a select partner for Reader's Digest Make It Matter Day. On October 3, 2009, organizations across America came together to rally behind the cause "literacy and education," holding over 100 events at schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs and libraries. LitWorld was an honored partner at the day's namesake event in the New York Public Library, where we ran a story station for city children to create and share digital books online, and a penpal area where children wrote postcards to send to LitWorld friends in other countries.
