Literacy as Protection for Children in Transitional Care The capacity for narrative and storytelling is an essential component of coping and lifelong resilience. The Resilience Project builds on the great importance of this fact, and helps young people in transitional care utilize the power of their own stories to heal. The Resilience Project promotes academic growth for the nation's most vulnerable children while also providing a vehicle to convey issues of children's rights to the world. LitWorld is developing and piloting this work in collaboration with The Scholastic Foundation and Children's Village. |
