Once upon a time, 40,000 people all across the world raised their voices together to celebrate the magic of story and the sheer joy of connecting with others through words. This was World Read Aloud Day, and it happened for the first time on March 3, 2010. Through social networks far and wide, engaged and energized people spread the word to 35 countries.
