Special Event with the Amherst Alumni Association
The Amherst Association of New York City is hosting a "Read-Around" to support LitWorld, with readings by Pam Allyn, guest author Harlan Coben, and students from The Children's Village. The event will be held at the Hue-Man Bookstore & Cafe from 1 to 3 pm, refreshments will be served.
Share your love of literature by spending an afternoon reading with fellow alumni and students from The Children's Village. Bring lightly used books to donate to a "book-swap," where participants will be able to donate old favorites to be re-sold for $1 each. All proceeds will go to LitWorld. Clean out your bookshelf, support two great organizations and pick up some new favorites!
Partnership with Reader's Digest for Make It Matter Day
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Reader's Digest to participate in their international event Make it Matter Day. Reader's Digest holds a vote every year to determine "the cause that matters most" and this year's choice was literacy and education, a perfect match for LitWorld!
On this day, local and national organizations across America will come together to rally behind literacy and education. Over 100 events will be held at schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs and libraries. Visit the official site to find out what's happening near you and how you can participate!
LitWorld is honored to have been selected to partner with Readers Digest on Make it Matter Day and we are creating digital books... Join us at realelearners.com and create your own digital book that LitWorld kids all over the world can read!
